Tuesday Aug 1, 2023

  • The Historical Roots of the Mass

    Tuesday Aug 1, 2023 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

It can often be confusing, with the many different Christian sects today, on how one should properly worship God. Yet, the Church
understands that worship is connected to two important historical events, the Last Supper and Temple worship. Often, we can fall into
the trap of forgetting the Jewish roots of Christianity, especially in regard to how Jesus and the Apostles would have worshipped.
If we are to reinvigorate and express proper reverence to the Mass, then we must understand the cultural and historical background.

Join in discussing not only the historical roots of the Mass but also of the Eucharist on August 1 and August 8, 2023 at 6 o’clock in the evening.

    Presenter: Justin Sittig

Location: RCIA room (CCD/Education Building) or the church hall if we have a large number attending.
